Important Notice for Windows Users!

Are you ready?

On January 14, 2020, Microsoft will be ending their Extended Support for Windows 7, Windows Server 2008/R2, and Exchange Server 2010. That means any business or user actively using a workstation or server that is operating any of those three products/systems will immediately place their data at risk of theft, destruction, or ransom.

  • Windows 7

  • Windows Server 2008 Family

  • Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2008 Family

  • Microsoft Exchange Server 2010

Microsoft will no longer offer support, bug fixes and most importantly security updates for the above products. For clients still operating these systems, key components of your IT infrastructure will no longer receive patches, bug fixes and security fixes, putting your IT infrastructure at risk.

Please be advised, we will be sending all of our clients a comprehensive report on what devices and servers they currently use that will be affected by this cessation. Rest assured we will be in contact with each of you to put together an action plan about how to upgrade these devices or services prior to the deadline.

Upgrade today to ensure:

  • Continued Microsoft updates
  • Security patches
  • Bug fixes
  • Feature enhancements
  • Buy upgrading workstations or laptops you gain warranty support from the hardware manufacturer
  • Potential performance increase in productivity from newer faster workstations
  • Only supported devices still receiving security updates from Microsoft, according to Davichi’s managed service agreement.

Davichi is fully prepared to help migrate you to a newer operating system, new workstation, and/or new server. Our goal is to transition all of our clients to supported systems as soon as possible.

To avoid placing your business, users, and customers at risk, contact us at support@davichi.com.au or ring us on 07 3124 6059 to start planning for End Of Life 2020 today!

Please also be advised that support for and security updates for Microsoft Office 2010 will also end in October 2020.
